Happy X-mas!

I hope you have a great time with family and/or friends Smile

We’ll be celebrating X-mas tomorrow with my parents and guess what we’re going to eat…?
Sushi! My dad officially rules Wink
Now let’s hope my little niece doesn’t want to play with me whole day long and I’m sure I’ll make it safely through the Holiday Season.

This and next week I FINALLY have got some spare time and right now I’m pixeling some new clocks. Please come back soon for new goodies and an update on the cat story. Thank you all very much for your advice concerning the cats Grin

New roommate

We used to have two cats: Mickey and Kuchi. Mickey wasn’t too pleased when whe introduced Kuchi to him. He would hiss at Kuchi, who returned the favour by hitting his butt. The two of them never became friends -to put it mildly.
Two years ago Mickey passed away Sad at the respectable age of 18. From then on Kuchi has been the “only child “. He really enjoys that privilige and follows us through the day.

But since a week a new white furry critter called Catootje has intruded his house. She belongs to a friend of us, but couldn’t get along with the 4 cats who are now living with him. So we decided to give it a chance. Surprisingly she felt at home very quickly. Only occasionally she hides under the bed and she enjoys our company & the tiny bits of cheese we give her (actually she’ll grab it out of your hand like a shark attack). The only downside to this story is that she and Kuchi aren’t really getting along. They try to avoid eachother and when it comes to a confrontation, Catootje will hiss at Kuchi. Kuchi has found his new spot on a cardboard box and Catootje is living at the other end of the room.

I’m missing Kuchi’s attention right now. He’s no longer the enthusiastic cat that will sit on my lap before I can even touch the couch. We still hope that everything will work out though, so we decided to give them a little longer to get used to eachother. If you have any tips, please share them! We do spend time with both of them and they have got their own blankets and bowls.

Now on to the winner of the Trick or Treat “contest”. The randomizer picked number 5 and 9, corresponding to commenters Carina and Pepsi. Congratulations Cake You will both receive some kawaii stationery.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Clumsy me

If you watch Desperate Housewives, you’re probably familiair with the character Susan, she’s is a huge klutz. I’m like her mini-version, a mini klutz.

Today I had to go to the dentist and because she always manages to make my gums bleed so much it wouldn’t look bad in a horror movie, I decided to do some comfort shopping afterwards. After 4 hours of serious shopping - I really needed all that stuff Wink - it was time to get some food. Me and my hubby agreed on meeting at our favourite Indonesian take-away and I stopped on the pavement to cross the street. I told the woman behind me to go ahead and move along. She answered: “I would like to enter the store, but you’re standing right in front of the door”. Gosh I’m so clumsy Blush

A few years ago I went to a business appointment and wore jeans for the first time in quite a while (being a skirt person). The sun was shining and the appointment went well so I was walking home in a happy mood. While walking through a super crowded shopping street a guy came up to me and said: “Excuse me, can I say something to you?” I replied: “Sure!”, wondering what it would be about. He explained: “Your scarf is so long that it’s hanging between your legs and comes out at the back, it looks like you’ve got a tail” I stumbled: “Thank you for telling me Blush”. And all I could think about were all the people who witnessed “my tail”… That long scarf had to go!

But then again, all of this isn’t so bad compared to the stories on: www.fmylife.com
