My resolution is to really keep kao-ani up to date this time around. Since this blog is still running on b2/Cafelog (the predecessor of Wordpress) and I'm probably the only living soul left to use it I decided to finally upgrade to Wordpress. I will probably start with a clean empty blog and leave this one in another directory.
Please stay tuned, it might take a while before everything is up and runnning, since I still have to make a new layout and new pages, install plugins etc.
In the meantime I want to wish you all A Very Happy New year! I hope that all your resolutions will work out

Autumn Cleaning @ 21:00:00

No spring cleaning, but autumn cleaning this year 
About once a month I transform into a frantic house cleaner, just like this weekend... We've got built-in closets in our bedroom and while there's no doubt that they're handy, the downside is that they look a bit crappy and are smelly on the inside (from humidity). Nothing some paint and humidity-eater (haha, sorry about this translation) couldn't fix. So far I'm down to one closet, painting the inside a fresh white, fixing the lock, attaching a piece of carpet on the floor and attaching hooks for my bags. Inside the closet there's a bottle of frangance to get rid of the old smell.
This weekend I also cleaned out all my clothes (the embarrassing thing is that before we moved I already donated 5 big bags of clothes
) The result is a small assortment of autumn/winter clothes, chique clothes (I like long dark dresses and lots of lace) and a few bags of summer clothes. So now I'm all ready to purchase some new warm outfits! On my wish list are;
- Flare Jeans (dark-blue)and/or flare trousers
- Knitted tops/jumpers (green, teal, purple and black)
- Tights
- Cute skirt
- Comfy coat
- Stylish dress
- Sweet cardigan

Too bad I'm seriously broke at the moment.. Let's hope thing will be better in a couple of months, because I could really use the mentioned clothes ^_^

Cucumber time @ 13:08:44

That is what we call the summer season in Holland when almost everybody is on vacation and nothing seems to happen. Somehow every year this is the season when I don't have many assignments. I know by now that I should enjoy this period and try to relax and get a tan or something 
But somehow I find that difficult. I did have some time to paint the hallway though, that was nice. This might sound weird, but I just feel better when I have enough work to do, so I can "justify" my leisure time (and shop addiction 
). Luckily the cucumber time has almost ended by now. I really like it when things get back to a certain routine and my favourite TV shows return.
Also my room (yes I have my own room in our new home!) is almost done and stuffed with designer toys and too many dolls. I will take pics of it soon.
The house isn't completely finished though, I'd say it's 80% completed. A while ago they fixed the roof, using nails... That same day I noticed the nails were too long and pointing through some walls inside
The holes have been fixed, but now those walls need to be repainted. Also I want to repaint the wall behind my desk, it shows some streaks (and I keep seeing them). Don't get me wrong, I actually like painting, but it's the preparation that takes up so many time.
The hallway still needs a mirror and a lamp, haha. To this day we still have a lightbulb hanging down from the ceiling... Maybe I should tell people that it's a new trend
Last but not least the garden needs a lot of work. But oh well, the house won't go anywhere. There's a time for everything.
