About

About this website

At the beginning of 2002 I bought my first computer. I had used the computer before for things like essays, but never in a creative way. I really didn't knew much about the computer and hated it for destroying some of my essays (O_o). My sweetie (Metin) introduced me to programs like Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. At All things Kawaii I learned about all the cute sites out there. So in april 2002 I decided to make my own website which I called Kawaii (the Japanese word for cute). I hosted it on a free server and it contained dolls, a collection of kao-ani and cute sprites.

Jenny asked me if she could host my site at clarity-child.net, which she did greatly for a couple of months! In november I bought my first domain called brain-work.com at Lycos. The only problem is that Lycos is was really slow and I wanted to use brain-work to display my articles. That's why I bought the domain kao-ani.com at July 2003. I chose this name because I like those animated puffs and because it was still available! It's hosted at BBWARE, a very helpful and trustworthy hosting provider :). Also Nagaki got me extra space and GB at xFluro webhosting for free, thank you so much! I'm planning on keeping kao-ani for a long time and i hope you'll enjoy your stay!

Previous Layouts

These are some of the older layouts I made for kao-ani.com:
The first layout for kao-ani.com. It was up for a long time, because i liked it so much. From July 2003 till the end of that year.

HTML Layout with lots of CSS featuring the sweet Yumpop characters. From January 2004 till June 2004.

A snow scene took hold of kao-ani during the winter of 2004/2005 and was replaced by the layout you're looking at now ^__^.
