I was born at 17th October 1975 and 20 minutes later my twin sister arrived. The upside of being twins is that you always had someone around to play with, the downside is that your birthday isn’t really unique.

After I finished High School, my first intention was to become a Fashion Designer. My dream ended very quickly since that particular school sucked and the sewing machine nearly killed me. So I started the PABO and graduated 5 years later as a Primary School teacher. But since teaching childeren is quite tough I decided not get in front of the class, good thing for me and for those kids .

By that time I was already married to my hubby, Metin. He works as a freelance illustrator and asked me to work for him, by sorting out papers and numbers and acquiring new clients. At that time (age 25 o_O) I bought my first computer and found out about webdesigning. At first I made my own site and learned a lot about HTML, nowadays I’m professionally making websites for other people, you can see them at my (Dutch) portfolio site.

We live in the Netherlands with our cats Kuchi -adopted him as an abandoned kitten- and Catootje -catnapped from a friend-. Next to webdesigning I have the urge to collect cute items such as Pullip and Blythe Dolls, play computer games and watch certain television shows and movies.

Favourite Food: Baked potatoes, pancakes, pasta, pizza, salads, sushi, sandwiches, Ben&Jerry’s icecream and chocolate.

Favourite Drinks: DR Pepper, cola, water, herbal tea and hot chocolate.

Favourite Music: Heather Nova, Tori Amos, Ani Difranco, Fiona Apple, The Cure, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, K’s Choice, Gwen Stefani, Nina Kinert etc.

Favourite TV Series: Buffy, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Desperate Housewives, Lost, Twin Peaks, Spongebob, South Park.

Favourite Games: Animal Crossing, Buzz, Chibi-Robo, Elite Beat Agents, Meteos, LocoRoco, Puyo Pop, Space Channel 5, Singstar,  Soulcalibur, Zoo Keeper, Peggle Dual Shot, Pet Society.

Favourite Stuff: Drawing, pixeling, designing websites, cute stuff, vinyl toys, virtual pets, the beach, Pullips, Blythe, my sweetheart!! and Kuchi the cat.

Favourite Movies: Nightmare before Christmas, Dark Night, Shrek, Moulin Rouge, Memento, Hairdresser’s Husband, Heavenly Creatures, Donnie Darko, American Beauty, Kill Bill, Perfume, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Straight Story, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Wall-E.

Favourite Authors: Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Roald Dahl and Ronald Giphart (he’s Dutch). Reading at the moment: My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

Favourite Colours: Purple, teal blue, pink and black (although that’s not a colour).

Favourite Clothes: Dresses, skirts, shirts with long sleeves, flared trousers, boots and all preferably in soft fabrics.
