Migraine misery
It’s that time of the month again. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about
This means I’m transforming into a chocolate eating, sentimental, rebellious cleaning monster. If that isn’t bad enough, my body also decides to let me down, resulting in back, neck & shoulder pain and migraines.
The migraine usually starts behind one of my eyes and stays with me for a good three days
Today is day one… I could already feel the pain coming up this morning so I decided to stay in bed a bit longer. But of course clients already started phoning about e-mail from Friday late afternoon that I hadn’t answered yet. You can imagine that listening to people isn’t the first thing you want to do when your head hurts so I told them -in a nice matter- that there’s such a thing called WEEKEND, and that I also enjoy that privilege *sigh*. So as they day went on and I answered phonecalls, e-mails and finished assignments the migraine worsened. Luckily my hubby wanted to do the cooking today <3
By that time I had started my creative healing method, because a regular painkiller won’t ease the pain. Don’t try this at home though
The remedy is eating lots of food -no matter what- and drinking a caffeine beverage and water, this helps me to reduce the pain. Weird huh?
So right now I’m hyperactive and fat on the inside. But at least I’m not in any pain

hey, I’m also a person whos often visited by migraine and aunt Lucy at the same time. My remedy is a hot-water bottle on my eyes, neck or belly. That cures nearly all my hurts :> And I’m not growing bigger at all! And another point is: Waiting for the migraine to come isn’t that good, it’s better to say to yourself, that this time, your feeling good, your healthy, strong (and so on) and that migraine has no chance to weaken your superhero-body.
Get well soon!
oooh… get well soon!
i guess it`s the weather…it makes me ill aswell and i feel very tired and weak.
the only thing i can do against it is to stay in the bed and drink loads and loads of tee…
@ Lu; thank you! I know what you mean, I would like to curl up in bed as well. But as a freelancer it’s often difficult to skip work. I’m doing much better than a few years ago though. I hope you won’t have too many migraines, take care! Tea is nice as well ^_^
@ Arjuna, thanks <3 That’s a good remedy ^_^ I’ve just purchased a “hittepit” which is a soft sack/pillow filled with cherry pits. You can heat it up in the microwave and place it around your neck, or where you would like to. And I agree that a state of mind is also important, I usually feel better when I’m not stressed.
I know what you mean…but you got it easy, I really get bad cramps and i often throw up it’s really uncomfortable…i really hate aunt Lucy
