Koala Sam and her friend Bob

In the midst of the extreme fires in Australia there’s one enlightening story. A volunteer firefighter named David Tree discovered a koala in the midst of a burnt-out bush. He offered the poor critter a drink from his water bottle, which the dehydrated koala -nicknamed Sam- gratefully accepted. A felllow fire fighter filmed the whole event with his mobile phone camera, you’ve got to watch it SmileYouTube movie

Sam was bandaged and taken care of in a Wildlife Shelter. In the shelter she met another koala named Bob and even though they had both burned and bandaged paws they tried to hug eachother, can you imagine that?

Rescuer Tree met Sam again in the Wildife Shelter, where they touched noses!

I can’t imagine why someone would set some of the fires, it’s imensely sad Cry . Especially considering the loss of life the fires have caused. If you would like to do something, consider making a donation to the Australian Red Cross.

i cant imagine that also, some people in the world are so heartless and stupid to not think of the consequences of their actions ! Angry

i hope karma gets whoever started it .

  2. Aww it’s adorable! I’d like to think that the forest fire was the result of an accident or someone’s carelessness, but even then, it’s still no excuse. I’m glad the koala is ok Smile

  3. How did you do your kao? Star

I actually live in Victoria, and it’s sad to see that the smoke haze from the bush fires are drifting all the way over to the city Sad This reminds me of just how much damage the fires have caused…

Apparently, not all of the bushfires were lit by people, but it’s still very sad to know that someone would endanger lives like this. Angry

@ Rachel Ohw, I’m sorry to hear that :( And you’re right that not all the fires were lit by people, I should adjust that sentence. No matter how the bushfires started, I think it’s a human tragedy.

  8. It’s sad to read about all that’s been lost because of the fires. Hopefully the person/people that set some of those fires will be caught and brought to justice.

Like how all those people are suing the power company that had some of their lines create one of the fires. That’s what should be done, because they should have taken care not to let it happen in the first place. >,>
